Job Description:
1. Directly reviews all requisition slips.
2. Ensures that established policies and procedures are follows.
3. Checks the accuracy of dose prepared
4. Provides drug control considering proper storage and dispensing and ensures that all states and drug stability and incompatibilities.
5. Provides for proper record keeping and billing.
6. Maintains professional competence, especially in drug stability and incompatibilities.
7. It provides a convenient method for instituting drug charges to maintain good accountability.
8. Keeps the dispensing area neat and clean.
9. Ensures the availability of drugs and medicines for emergency cases and treatment areas.
Provide the necessary drugs to emergency cases for the first 24 hours regardless of the patient's capacity to pay.
Performs monthly inventory and assures that expiry date is properly check.
Checks and receives deliveries from different suppliers in case Chief Pharmacist/ Senior Pharmacist are out of duty.
Encodes daily transactions into the computer and into the Kardex.
To attend whenever there is product presentation to enhance knowledge of new drugs available in the market.
Responsible in stamping of hospital logo on the label of all drugs available in the pharmacy.
Display all deliveries in the cabinet and refill all consumed drugs in the cabinet.
Assist the Chief Pharmacist whenever necessary.
Informs the Chief Pharmacist or Senior Pharmacist regarding problems encountered during the shift and what was the solutions made to resolve such concerns/issues.
Keeps the relationship and camaraderie of employees within the department intact.
Job Qualification:
- Education: A degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution is required.
- Licensing: Obtain a pharmacist's license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
- Skills: Essential skills include knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and patient counseling.
- Experience: Relevant experience in pharmacy practice or related fields is often required.
