The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is responsible for delivering quality health care service within the provision of safe, effective, and quality pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical care through timely and accurate preparation, basic compounding and dispensing of medications.

This role reports directly to the Immediate Supervisor of Pharmacy department.

What's The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performing other related functions for more efficient and effective pharmacy operations.

  • Provides other pharmacy services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and support personnel

  • Ensures the adequate supply of safe, effective, and good quality drugs prescribed to the patient by monitoring availability of Formulary items, maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of pharmaceutical products, regular inspection of expiration dates to ensure that pharmaceutical products are arranged and dispensed to their expiration dates

  • Facilitating request for non-formulary drugs through emergency purchase provided there is no pharmaceutical equivalent in the formulary.

-Handling of medication recalls, defective, near expiry, and expired pharmaceutical products.

Who Are We Looking For?

An effective Pharmacist must possess the following skills:

  • Detail-oriented: Ensures the quality use of medicines by reading, validating, and interpreting prescriptions.

  • Analyzing skills: Reviewing patient's drug orders or prescription for appropriateness prior to dispensing

  • Organization skills: Preparing, labelling, and dispensing pharmaceutical products or drug preparations ordered by validly registered physician

Knowledge in:

  • Hospital Pharmacy

  • Dispensing

  • Compounding

  • Pharmaceutics

  • Pharmacology

Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of BS Pharmacy with PRC License (Rph), willing to work in shifting schedule (night shift, weekends, or holidays included).
