KITCHEN DISHWASHER

Area of Assignment: Fuente Branch

The Kitchen Dishwasher is ensures all kitchenware, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and organized to support efficient kitchen operations. This role helps maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, allowing the kitchen team to prepare and serve meals safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

DISHWASHING & CLEANING

  • Washes and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools.
  • Cleans cooking and food preparation equipment as directed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen floors, counters, and workstations.
  • Disposes of kitchen waste properly and ensures proper recycling if applicable.

KITCHEN SUPPORT

  • Assists in storing clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in their proper places.
  • Helps with basic kitchen prep tasks, such as washing vegetables or ingredients if needed.
  • Ensures dishwashing area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (soap, scrubbers, etc.).
  • Follows all hygiene and food safety protocols in handling kitchenware and cleaning chemicals.

TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION

  • Works closely with the Cook, Kitchen Helper, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Communicates any issues with dishwashing equipment or kitchen cleanliness to supervisors promptly.
  • Cooperates with team members to maintain a safe, efficient, and sanitary working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, kitchen tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit to stand for long hours, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typically works in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Shifts may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • May involve working under pressure during peak times (e.g., holidays, special events).
