Manages daily workshop operations by leading and supervising technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, safety, and quality of work. Key responsibilities include assigning tasks, monitoring progress, maintaining equipment and supplies, ensuring safety compliance, and fostering a positive team environment. This is a hands-on, first-level management role that requires strong technical, organizational, and communication skills, serving as a vital link between workshop staff and management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:Supervise, train, and coach technicians, assign tasks based on their skills, and manage performance.
  • Operations & Workflow:Plan maintenance schedules, prioritize work orders, and ensure efficient and smooth daily operations.
  • Quality Control:Oversee the quality of completed work, conduct quality assurance testing, and ensure all projects meet standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:Maintain a clean and safe workshop, ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, and manage workplace incidents.
  • Resource Management:Monitor and manage workshop equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.
  • Technical Support:Provide technical advice and support to team members and assist in diagnostics or hands-on repairs when needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the specific trades within the workshop (e.g., automotive, manufacturing, mechanical).
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to motivate staff, provide clear instructions, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management, task prioritization, and workflow management.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues, make sound judgments, and resolve conflicts.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php25,000.00 per month
