About the role

Taft Property Venture Development Corp. is seeking an exceptional Accounting Tax Officer to join our talented team in Cebu City, Cebu. As a full-time role, this position will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and compliant management of the company's taxation requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and file all necessary tax returns and declarations, ensuring strict adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Conduct thorough tax planning and provide strategic advice to the finance team on tax optimisation opportunities
  • Liaise with government tax authorities and auditors to address any tax-related inquiries or discrepancies
  • Maintain detailed records of the company's tax affairs and documentation
  • Support the finance team with other accounting and compliance-related tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a taxation or accounting role, preferably within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Thorough understanding of applicable tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and tax preparation tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable
