Job Brief

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team in supporting daily, weekly, and monthly operations. The role involves a wide range of accounting responsibilities including reconciliations, reporting, payroll support, supplier payments, and debtor finance management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple systems, managing competing priorities, and collaborating with stakeholders across different departments and time zones.

Responsibilities:

Daily / Weekly

  • Perform bank reconciliations and review daily cash flow.
  • Process credit card and AMEX cash coding and monitor balances.
  • Reconcile debtor payments based on remittance advice.
  • Review and reconcile interstate bank/loan balances and debtor finance uploads.
  • Investigate ad hoc queries and credit note requests, processing updates to reflect cash position.
  • Approve and prepare supplier bills for payment.
  • Maintain and review accounts inbox, addressing queries and updating records accordingly.
  • Assist with payroll preparation, including Deputy timesheet approvals, payslip distribution, and ATO submissions.
  • Reconcile WEX/Airwallex/NAB credit card accounts and manage funding top-ups.
  • Assist with Fortnightly Payroll Reports (state-based: QLD, SYD, VIC, WA).
  • Prepare supplier payment lists, remittance advice, and monitor approval workflows.

Monthly / Quarterly

  • Download and archive bank and credit card statements.
  • Conduct month-end journals, recharge allocations, and prepare payroll tax computations.
  • Support fuel levy calculations and update related reports in CartonCloud.
  • Assist in preparing CreditorWatch reports and wage true-ups.
  • Manage child support correspondence and payments.
  • Review interstate tolls and allocate charges between entities.
  • Finalise supplier bank detail reviews, monitor approvals, and submit payments accordingly.
  • Complete offboarding processes in Employment Hero (EH).

Ad hoc / Other

  • Provide reporting support including company snapshots and other executive summaries.
  • Contribute to email streamlining and process refinement with leadership.
  • Assist in internal audits and compliance checks.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for accurate and timely submissions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years' experience in a full-function accounting or management accountant role.
  • Strong experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll processing, and supplier payments.
  • Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and payroll requirements.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero, Employment Hero, Deputy).
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Based in the Philippines, available full-time during Australian business hours.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in an Australian business context.
  • Experience with CartonCloud, Airwallex, and Debtor Finance systems.
  • Understanding of multi-entity reporting and intercompany fund transfers.
  • Experience handling confidential payroll and compliance information.

Software Proficiency:

  • Accounting: Xero
  • Payroll & HR: Employment Hero, Deputy
  • Finance Tools: CartonCloud, WEX, NAB, Airwallex
  • Reporting & Communication: Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Outlook
