We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead and manage the financial operations of our automotive dealership. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for financial strategy, planning, compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency to support the dealership's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the dealership's business goals.
  • Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, advising on financial implications of business activities and decisions.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including AR/AP, GL, cost accounting, and inventory control.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor KPIs and financial performance metrics to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met.

Cash Flow & Capital Management:

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and dealership financing activities including floor plan management.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to negotiate credit lines, loans, and other funding mechanisms.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Manage audits, both internal and external, and maintain accurate and secure financial records.
  • Mitigate financial and operational risks through robust control frameworks.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance departmental capability and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline across departments.

Operational Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, Parts, and HR departments to improve financial efficiency and cross-functional alignment.
  • Analyze vehicle inventory, turnover, margins, and pricing strategies to support profitability.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the automotive or retail dealership industry.
  • In-depth understanding of dealership operations, floor plan financing, and manufacturer relations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software (e.g., DMS like CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Autosoft).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.
