Job Summary:

The Dairy Farm Supervisor (Quality Focus - Food Production) is responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality dairy products by ensuring proper animal care, milk hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards. This role involves monitoring milk handling procedures, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations to maintain product integrity from farm to processing.

Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Monitor and enforce strict hygiene and sanitation protocols for milking, storage, and transportation of raw milk.
  • Implement corrective actions for any deviations in quality and address contamination risks.

Farm Operations & Milk Production:

  • Supervise and train farm staff on proper milking techniques and handling procedures to maintain milk quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of milk production, quality reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.

Inventory & Supply Management:

  • Oversee milk storage, cooling, and transportation processes to prevent spoilage and contamination.
  • Ensure adequate supply of quality feed, veterinary supplies, and dairy processing materials.
  • Assist in managing supply chain logistics to ensure smooth delivery of raw milk to processing facilities.

Training & Team Leadership:

  • Train and educate farm workers on best practices in milk hygiene, food safety, and dairy quality standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality control measures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in dairy farm management, quality control, or milk processing.
  • Knowledge of dairy production standards, food safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze quality reports and implement necessary improvements.
  • Familiarity with dairy farm equipment, milking machines, and sanitation systems.
