Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer combines application of his/her knowledge in mechanical aspects of systems like pumps, piping and machinery with control systems, electrical design and automation. Also responsible for testing systems that integrates mechanical, electrical, control and automation. They collaborate with other engineers, manage projects, and ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

System Design and Development:

Creating designs for integrated electromechanical systems, including both electrical and mechanical components.

CAD Modeling and Documentation:

Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed documentation for components and assemblies.

Component Selection:

Choosing appropriate electrical and mechanical components, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance within the system.

Control Systems Design:

Developing control strategies and algorithms for regulating system behavior, often involving feedback control loops and software interfaces.

Testing and Validation:

Conducting testing on prototypes and systems to ensure they meet design specifications and performance requirements.

Project Management:

Managing project timelines, milestones, and resources, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Technical Documentation:

Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensuring systems comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Identifying and resolving design issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions.

Collaboration:

Working with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

· Conceptualize and design integrated electromechanical systems suitable to design requirements

· Testing of electromechanical systems ensuring components are working together seamlessly

· Working together with other design engineers

· Documentation preparing reports required for project management, compliance and coordination

· Coordinate across teams to maintain alignment

· Maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Represent the company with integrity and professionalism in all engagements

· This role requires a proactive, organized, and relationship-oriented individual who can move projects forward while supporting the broader goals of the organization.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years senior design engineer experience in electro-mechanical design
  • Experience as lead design engineer, supervision of mechanical design engineers
  • Proficiency in AutoCad or equivalent drafting tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, as operational needs dictate.
