Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Project Engineer, Project Foreman and/or Equipment and Logistic Department Head.
  • Accountable for the preparation and submission of Daily Equipment Inspection Checklist and Trouble Report with regards to the equipment assigned by the E.L department head.
  • Operate and maintain heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving and composting operations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Handle many large machines / equipment used in construction. This equipment includes: Backhoe, Concrete Breaker, Loader, Grader and Steamroller. With these machines, they dig holes and trenches, compact soil and move earth.
  • Report to the Project Engineer & Logistic any irregularities or any problem that will hinder the performance of the unit.
  • Operate heavy, motorized equipment used in construction and earth moving operations.
  • Must clean, maintain and secure equipment after use.
  • May build level and excavate land surfaces using graders and other construction equipment.
  • Gather and load dirt and waste products from job sites onto trucks. Transport to appropriate location.
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.

Required Education, Skills, Experience and Other Career Qualification:

  • High school diploma or one (1) to two (2) years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance requirements of heavy, power-driven equipment.
  • Methods and materials used in general construction and maintenance work.
  • Can work with minimum supervision.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Can work on flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
