Job Description:
Scope of Work

  • Provide support to the team for Canadian reporting processes, which includes:
  • IFRS17 liability modelling
  • preparation of the reports for the non-model related IFRS17 liabilities
  • preparation of the report for Life Capital Adequacy Testing (LICAT) submission
  • analysis for the consistency and reasonableness of the market and insurance sensitivity testing for disclosure requirements
  • New product implementation and model setup
  • Execution of assumption changes in the model
  • Conduct model validation exercises in accordance with established EUC guidelines
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects depending on business needs such as but not limited to:
  • support on the stochastic asset modelling using actuarial software
  • support on the semi-annual business plan financial projections
  • support on the annual scenario testing submission to the regulator.

Qualifications

  • University degree with a strong mathematical or statistical background
  • With at least 4 years of Actuarial related experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in handling any Actuarial modelling software, preferably AXIS
  • With at least 2 Actuarial exams passed
  • Strong Knowledge in the use of MS Office application
