Job Summary

The
Finance Specialist
is responsible for executing core accounting and financial reporting activities to support the organization's day-to-day operations. This role ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions and contributes to the maintenance of strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory and company policies. The Finance Specialist works closely with the Finance team and cross-functional partners to support month-end closing activities and provide reliable financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries with accuracy and within prescribed timelines.
  • Process and monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions and supporting documents.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and established internal controls.
  • Coordinate with other departments to validate financial data and support operational and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in general accounting or finance.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems/software and strong working knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with local tax regulations, filings, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
