The
SAP RISE Support Specialist
is responsible for providing functional and technical support for SAP environments under the
RISE with SAP
program. The role ensures stable system operations, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and related services, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and SAP support teams.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Application Support

  • Provide Level 1–2 support for SAP RISE environments, including SAP S/4HANA Cloud and integrated solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, incidents, and service requests to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional, configuration, and basic technical issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to SAP or third-party vendors when required.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Analyze incidents and root causes; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track issues through resolution using ticketing systems (e.g., SAP Solution Manager).
  • Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and workarounds.

Change & Release Support

  • Support system upgrades, patches, and enhancement deployments under SAP RISE.
  • Participate in testing (UAT, regression testing) for new releases and changes.
  • Validate system readiness post-deployment.

Business & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and SAP support.
  • Gather and clarify business requirements related to system issues or enhancements.
  • Provide user guidance, training support, and knowledge transfer.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve system usability.
  • Support compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in SAP application support or ERP support roles.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud solutions.
  • Experience in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication skills for both technical and non-technical users.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting SAP under the RISE with SAP model.
  • Familiarity with SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, HCM).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management tools.
  • SAP certification or relevant functional certification.
