Qualifications:

Education:

· Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or related field.

Experience:

· 8+ years in machine learning or NLP, with at least 3 years specializing in LLMs or generative AI.

· Proven track record developing or deploying models like GPT, Llama, T5, or PaLM.

· Experience leading large-scale AI projects in enterprise, academic, or research environments.

· Strong expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and modern ML frameworks.

Technical Skills:

· Deep understanding of transformer architectures, tokenization, embeddings, and fine-tuning.

· Familiarity with data engineering, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS), and RAG pipelines.

· Experience with cloud AI ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Strong grasp of LLM safety, alignment, and evaluation metrics.

Soft Skills:

· Visionary leadership with strong communication and stakeholder management.

· Strategic thinker who can bridge research and practical implementation.

· Passion for ethical, transparent, and responsible AI innovation.

Preferred:

· Contributions to open-source AI models or NLP research.

· Experience with multimodal or autonomous AI agents.

Job Responsibilities:

AI Strategy & Leadership

· Define and execute the company's LLM and generative AI roadmap.

· Advise executives on AI capabilities, risks, and opportunities.

· Evaluate emerging technologies and drive integration of advanced LLMs into core business operations.

· Collaborate with R&D, engineering, product, and data science teams to ensure scalable and efficient AI solutions.

Model Development & Optimization

· Lead design, training, fine-tuning, and deployment of LLMs for domain-specific use cases.

· Optimize model performance for latency, accuracy, cost, and interpretability.

· Implement reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) and prompt engineering strategies.

· Develop custom datasets and ensure compliance with data privacy and copyright standards.

Technical Oversight

· Establish MLOps pipelines for LLM training, versioning, and monitoring.

· Evaluate and benchmark open-source and proprietary models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral).

· Ensure scalability across distributed systems, cloud, and on-prem infrastructures.

· Maintain rigorous testing and validation frameworks for AI outputs.

Governance, Ethics & Compliance

· Define and enforce responsible AI use standards aligned with global AI ethics and data protection laws.

· Implement bias detection, transparency, and explainability protocols.

· Oversee auditability and security of AI models and data pipelines.

Research & Innovation

· Stay at the forefront of LLM advancements (transformer architectures, multimodal AI, agents, reasoning models).

· Publish research papers, contribute to open-source AI communities, and represent the organization in AI forums.

· Explore novel model architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic systems.
