Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Support: Assist senior engineers in the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into overall construction plans and ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Installation Oversight: Support the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including conducting site visits, supervising contractors, and ensuring that installations meet quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation related to mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness for construction and regulatory purposes.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests and inspections on mechanical systems to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Cost Estimation: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and equipment, to support project planning and procurement activities.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to mechanical engineering in construction, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices..

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional license or eligibility to become a licensed Mechanical Engineer in the Philippines.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior experience in construction or building services engineering is desirable but not required for entry-level positions.
