Job Description

The Cost Accounting Expert is responsible for conducting thorough cost analyses, assessing risks and opportunities, and ensuring efficient cost management to drive operational savings. They provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes through financial analyses and assessments. The Cost Accounting Expert is also responsible for ensuring proper controls and reporting for capex requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Costing - Internal Business Units:

  • Work with internal business units, product, and finance teams to determine and allocate their Capex and Opex costs, review costing methodologies, and ensure alignment on assumptions.
  • Process and develop recommended Capex and Opex costing methodologies, considering internal business and overall business plans.
  • Manage cost allocations and calculations in the reporting tool for Capex and Opex components related to internal business units.
  • Prepare and present reports and analyses on internal business unit, including cost to produce, segment, and overhead costs to stakeholders.
  • Create additional reports and analyses as needed by the business.

Monthly and Annual Reporting:

  • Support monthly closing and annual budgeting processes by addressing budget-related issues and updating cost allocation rules.
  • Assist budget planners with resolving concerns and recommending solutions.

Capex Reporting:

  • Support budget release for Carplan. Prepare and analyze Capex reports, manage Capex budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with partners to discuss findings with stakeholders. Implement improvements in capex processes.
