Social Media Marketing Assistant – Animation Startup | Remote | Immediate Start

Role Name: Social Media Marketing Assistant

Schedule: 20 hours per week consistently; flexible schedule during client's business hours

Client Overview: An innovative animation and production startup creating episodic animated content that's gaining serious traction on YouTube. They're expanding their reach across multiple social media platforms to build a community around their storytelling and drive engagement with their growing audience. This is a company that's moving fast, thinking creatively, and ready to scale their content distribution strategy.

Job Description: You'll be the creative force behind expanding an exciting animated series from YouTube to a multi-platform social media presence. This role puts you at the center of content strategy for a growing startup, where you'll shape how audiences discover and engage with innovative animated storytelling. You'll work with cutting-edge AI tools, create original content, and help build a community that supports creative projects through direct monetization.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging original social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Re-dimension and optimize existing YouTube content for different platform specifications using AI tools
  • Edit and produce personal content using quick editing tools and platform-native features
  • Design graphics and visual assets that drive engagement and support brand storytelling
  • Manage consistent posting schedules and maintain active community engagement
  • Drive targeted traffic from social platforms to monetization pages on the company website
  • Learn and implement new AI-powered editing and content creation tools
  • Build and nurture online communities around animated content and creative projects
  • Support promotional campaigns that convert social media engagement into website traffic
  • Collaborate on content strategy that aligns with episodic release schedules

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts and creating engaging content (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with video editing tools
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube best practices
  • Creative mindset with ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Excellent written communication skills for audience engagement and community building
  • Bonus if you have marketing background or experience with content monetization strategies
  • It helps if you're familiar with AI-powered editing tools or quick mobile editing apps
  • Bonus if you have experience with animation, entertainment, or creative industry content
