The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods and services at the most competitive prices to enable a company or organization to operate. You can work in a range of sectors for many different types of organization. Ultimately, you'll create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and Review Purchasing, Shipping, and Receiving Records.
  • Canvass and Negotiate with Suppliers on Behalf of Employer.
  • Work out Logistical Agreements with Suppliers.
  • Process requisitions and SAP purchase orders for supplies and equipment and prepare request for check preparation (RCP) on all received or completed orders.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformity to company policy.
  • Analyze market and delivery system in order to assess present and future material availability.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies.
  • Attend Industry Trade shows.
  • Coordinate with SCMC SM Seaside FAS for any Goods Receipt (GR) and Good Issue (GI)
  • Update P.O Ledger
  • Evaluate work performance of subordinates.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned or required by the job from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you're identifying the most profitable offers.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
