Cloud Engineer (Azure / AWS)Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Azure and AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Azure administration, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and core cloud infrastructure services, with hands-on experience in automation, security, and identity management.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of cloud best practices, and the ability to support business-critical systems while optimizing performance and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure, including:
  • Azure Virtual Machines (VMs)
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Azure Networking (VNets, NSG, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers)
  • Azure Storage (Blob, Files, Queues)
  • Azure Backup / Site Recovery (ASR)
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD / Entra ID), including:
  • MFA Administration
  • Conditional Access Policies
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO: ADFS, SAML, OAuth)
  • Monitor and optimize environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Policy / Blueprints.
  • Automate cloud operations using PowerShell (AzureAD, Az, MSOnline modules), Azure CLI, Terraform, ARM Templates, and Bicep.
  • Support security and compliance by implementing:
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Azure Security Center)
  • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
  • Zero Trust Architecture
  • Security Baseline Policies
  • Azure Identity Protection
  • Assist with cloud migration and hybrid environment integration projects.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and business units to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (required) and AWS (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID administration.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Azure Solutions Architect / AWS Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
  • Experience with cloud networking, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and security frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
