Salesforce QA Engineer

We are looking for a Salesforce QA Engineer in a Sales and Marketing Cloud environment. As a Salesforce QA Engineer, you will play a key role in driving quality throughout the full development lifecycle of the Client's technology platform. This requires a combination of a strong expertise in test engineering and quality assurance as well as collaboration and communication skills. Working directly with the Test Lead, Quality Engineers, Quality Analysts, Product Owners, Salesforce Developers and Business Analysists, you will assist with providing quality assurance and testing across the Sales and Marketing Cloud salesforce platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Marketing Automation Specialist, Product Owner, Business Analyst and Business teams to get a good understanding of the Client's business and products.
• Work in an Agile environment and contribute effectively to the various Scrum ceremonies.
• Write test scripts with detailed preconditions, test steps and expected outcomes for user stories, production faults. integration scenarios and regression.
• Understand Acceptance Criteria and apply effective testing techniques to create test scripts.
• Design, implement and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright for functional UI and API testing to support regression testing.
• Automate the creation of test data in Salesforce sandbox test environments.
• Writing BDD-style test cases using Given-When-Then format.
• Execute manual and automation test cases for the various levels of testing.
• Report findings and raise defects for deviations from expected outcomes.
• Work with Atlassian products (JIRA and Confluence) and test tools to track issues and document testing activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide status updates, resolve issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Be a champion of the QA team and support and improve the QA processes.
• Keep informed and up to date with latest trends in software quality assurance methodologies to ensure our team remains at the forefront of industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance, including at least 2 years in test automation and test engineering.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experienced with automated testing frameworks and tools such as Postman, Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, and RestAssured.
• Strong focus on delivering high-quality applications, with the ability to design and implement efficient testing processes.
• Solid understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and hands-on experience testing in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Experience with Sales and Marketing Cloud is an advantage.
• Background working in distribution and/or sales environments is desirable.
• Skilled in writing test steps, expected results, test cases, and test scripts.
• Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals, techniques, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them appropriately.
• Effective in reporting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams to triage and resolve defects.
• Experienced using the Atlassian suite (e.g., JIRA and Confluence).
• Experienced with test management tools such as Zephyr or XRay for managing test cases, execution, and reporting.
• Able to work remotely with accountability for deliverables, demonstrating proactive communication and ownership of assigned tasks.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
