Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on mining operations, exploration, permitting, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing mining operations.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on mining tenements and projects, verifying ownership, permit status, and regulatory risks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, joint venture agreements, and other mining-related legal documents.
  • Represent the company in administrative and judicial proceedings involving mining rights, permit issues, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and stakeholders to secure permits, resolve legal concerns, and support project execution.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices, ensuring management and relevant teams remain informed and compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed lawyer with at least 5 years of legal experience, including 3+ years in mining law.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-related laws, regulations, and administrative processes, including those governing natural resources, environmental compliance, and business operations.
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and legal dispute management.
  • Skilled in due diligence, documentation, and coordination with government agencies.
  • Organized, articulate, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple legal matters
  • Willing to work in Ortigas and travel as needed.
