The Legal and Compliance Manager oversees the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and manages legal risks. This role involves leading compliance initiatives, advising on legal issues, developing compliance programs, and ensuring that the company always operates within the law.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management on banking-related issues, including regulatory compliance, risk management, corporate governance, contracts, and litigation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate banking agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and advisors.
  • Stay informed about changes in banking laws and regulations and advise senior management on their implications for the company.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or with an active membership in good standing with the Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lawyer, with a background in banking and financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and counsel in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php70, Php100,000.00 per month
