We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to support solar installation projects. This role plays a key part in evaluating roofing structures for solar system compatibility, preparing accurate cost estimates, and helping ensure successful proposals for commercial clients. Your expertise in roofing and construction will directly impact the quality and efficiency of solar installations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess commercial roofing structures for solar system feasibility
  • Review project specifications, site conditions, and blueprints to create accurate estimates
  • Calculate labor, materials, and equipment costs for commercial solar installations
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales teams on proposals
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to confirm project scope
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • Stay updated on roofing systems, codes, and industry standards
  • Provide cost-saving recommendations and value engineering options
  • Assist with project hand-off and ensure estimate accuracy through execution

Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum (3) years of experience in commercial roofing estimating, preferably with solar or renewable energy projects
  • Knowledge of commercial roofing types (TPO, PVC, Metal, etc.) and construction practices but not required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Can start immediately
