We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations for our manufacturing facility in General Santos City. The Engineering Manager will ensure equipment reliability, support production efficiency, lead improvement projects, and uphold strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Engineering and Maintenance teams within the manufacturing plant
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities
  • Ensure minimal production downtime through effective maintenance planning
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, TPM) to optimize plant efficiency
  • Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvements
  • Manage engineering budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor activities
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to support plant operational goals
  • Prepare technical reports, analyses, and documentation for management review

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
  • Licensed Engineer (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or plant operations environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, utilities management, and machine reliability
  • Familiar with automation, production equipment, and engineering standards in manufacturing
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM practices
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and plant utilities (boilers, compressors, HVAC, etc.)
  • Background in food, plastics, metal, or general manufacturing industries
  • Experience handling audits (ISO, safety, environmental)
