What Are Our Wishes

• University degree in computer science / IT or related field,
• At least 10 years' experience in developing and successfully deploying map-enabled / WebGIS client applications,
• Technical skills: HTML & CSS, JavaScript/Angular JS, Leaflet, Python, R, C#, SQL/NonSQL Database, REST API, WebArchitecture, NPM, Information Security & Privacy
• Working knowledge of the IT environment / technology, and related security regulations and guidelines,
• Fluent written and spoken English,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

*How can you contribute to the team?*

• Under the supervision of the Senior GIS Specialist, liaise with departments and staff, to identify their needs for customized Web-GIS applications,
• Familiarize with the Spatial Data Infrastructure, both in ITD as well as map-enabled business apps like CDIH, CCDRMS, MATALAS, etc.,
• In collaboration with the GIS Server Manager and Administrator, identify the technical and security requirements for developing Web-GIS applications or plugins,
• Support consultant teams hired by individual to develop standards and security-conform applications that integrate seamlessly with the SDI / Enterprise GIS,
• Ensure proper hand-over / migration of Web-GIS Apps developed by consultant teams under and projects not under ITD, and (co)-maintain the Apps on a regular basis once launched, in close coordination.
• Deploy applications and perform regular maintenance (bug fixing, backup, software/code updates/upgrades),
• Any other task ITD GIS considers necessary.

Deliverables and Dates

• Scoping Report: Web-GIS applications to support project / investment planning, implementation and monitoring.
• Web-GIS Applications: as discussed with GIS Operation Teams manager and consultants, and other developing map-enabled apps
