1. Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Participate in the financial statement closing process for both group and local reporting, including journal entry preparation and generation of financial and management reports.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial data to management, auditors, and regulatory agencies such as the IC, SEC, and Financial Controls Team.

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations by:

  • Preparing complete reconciliation packages in line with Account Reconciliation Standards.

  • Monitoring and resolving reconciling items to ensure account balances are accurate.
  • Coordinating with various departments to address outstanding reconciliation issues.
  • Identifying control gaps and suggesting process improvements.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and regulatory reports (e.g., Quarterly Reports, Annual Statements, SEC and IC submissions).
  • Ensure all reports and payments to regulatory bodies (SEC, IC, BSP, LGUs, etc.) are completed accurately and submitted on time.

2. Internal Controls and Audit

  • Document financial accounting and reporting processes and workflows.
  • Review and update policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
  • Assist in compiling audit documentation and respond to internal audit inquiries.

3. Finance Initiatives Support

  • Participate in key finance projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and automation efforts.
  • Contribute to broader finance priorities and organizational initiatives.

4. Administrative Functions

  • Maintain organized records (both physical and digital) of all documents submitted to regulators.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulators.
  • Support various finance and management reporting needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification
  • Background in account reconciliation
  • Experience in corporate accounting or audit (Big 4 background and/or experience in financial institutions preferred)
  • Exposure to process improvement and automation initiatives is advantageous

Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, PFRS, and local accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and active listening skills
  • Advanced analytical and presentation capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
