Job description:

The Associate Project Manager will assist the Lead Project Manager in the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the Proposed New MGEN Building (6-Storey + Basement) project. The role ensures that all project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with design, quality, and safety standards. The Associate PM will serve as a key support to the client-side project management team, facilitating communication among consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Project Manager in tracking project progress, deliverables, and milestones across design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Coordinate with architectural, engineering, and specialty consultants to ensure timely submission and review of drawings, permits, and technical documents.
  • Support in bid management activities, including RFP dissemination, bid evaluation, and preparation of meeting minutes and reports.
  • Monitor contractor and consultant performance, ensuring adherence to approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and update project documentation, including status reports, dashboards, minutes of meetings (MoMs), action logs, risk registers, and change requests.
  • Conduct site coordination visits to verify progress and assist in issue resolution between trades.
  • Support the Lead PM in managing internal coordination among departments (Procurement, Finance, HR, IT, Admin, etc.) for project-related requirements.
  • Participate in project presentations, design reviews, and client/committee meetings
  • Contribute to project close-out activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and lessons learned reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in project coordination or project management for building construction or fit-out projects.
  • Familiar with PMI-aligned methodologies and documentation standards (WBS, Gantt charts, risk logs, etc.).
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (Excel, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Willing to be assigned onsite and attend coordination meetings as needed.
  • Registered Architect or Engineer is an advantage.
  • PMP, CAPM, or RMP certification preferred.
  • Experience in smart/IT-enabled building projects or projects with BMS, structured cabling, or green building integration is a strong plus.
