The Construction Manager will oversee the overall execution and progress of construction activities for the Proposed New MGEN Building (6-Storey + Basement) project. The role ensures that all works are completed in accordance with the approved design, schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations. As part of the client-side project management team, the Construction Manager will coordinate closely with the general contractor, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities


•Supervise and monitor the day-to-day construction operations, ensuring alignment with the approved plans, specifications, and timelines.


•Manage and coordinate the activities of contractors, subcontractors, and site engineers, resolving on-site issues and bottlenecks promptly.


•Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design intent, safety standards, and quality control requirements.


•Review and validate construction schedules, look-ahead plans, and manpower and equipment deployment.


•Support the PM in evaluating project progress, tracking deliverables, and identifying potential delays or risks.


•Verify work accomplishments and site quantities to support progress billing and project cost control.


•Ensure strict implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and that all safety procedures are observed at the site.


•Lead coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to align progress and resolve technical issues.


•Review shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, and change requests in coordination with the PM and consultants.


•Contribute to the testing, commissioning, and turnover process, ensuring completion of punch lists and final documentation.

Qualifications


•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.


•At least 3-5 years of experience in building construction management, including high-rise or multi-storey commercial or office developments.


•Proven experience in managing construction schedules, contractor coordination, and site supervision.


•Strong understanding of project execution processes, QA/QC, and safety management.


•Proficient in MS Office, MS Project (or equivalent), and construction monitoring tools.


•Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.


•Willing to be assigned full-time at the project site.
