Job Summary:

The Group Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations across a group of companies. This leadership role ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, provides strategic financial insights, and manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight:

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day financial operations across the group.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with regulatory standards and accounting principles.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and risk assessments.

  • Strategic Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and projections.

  • Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for financial efficiency.

  • Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, including training, supervision, and performance evaluation.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA).
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
