I. POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a
hands-on and detail-oriented Chief Accountant
to oversee all accounting, taxation, and financial operations of
Karofi Philippines
, covering over
retail stores nationwide
.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring
accurate financial reporting, compliance with Philippine accounting standards (BIR)
, and alignment with
group financial policies
under the supervision of the
CFO & Oversea Business Director at Vietnam Head Office
.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including cash collection, expense recording, and store-level reconciliation.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions and journal entries.
  • Prepare
    monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    according to BIR and Group reporting standards.
  • Consolidate and submit management reports (sales, expenses, profit & loss by store) to the Vietnam HQ.

2. Cash Flow & Expense Management

  • Monitor and control cash inflow/outflow of all retail stores; ensure proper deposit and daily reconciliation.
  • Review store operating expenses (rent, utilities, manpower, logistics, marketing).
  • Maintain and forecast
    cash flow statements
    ; ensure sufficient liquidity for store operations.

3. Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure compliance with
    BIR regulations, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG
    , and local labor/tax laws.
  • Coordinate with external accounting/tax service providers for monthly and annual filings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit and tax inspection.

4. Internal Control & Audit

  • Establish and maintain internal financial controls for retail operations.
  • Review and improve financial SOPs (store cash handling, payment approvals, expense claims).
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors for regular reviews and reporting.

5. Financial Planning & Coordination

  • Support CFO Vietnam in
    budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    .
  • Provide financial insights to optimize store profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in evaluating new store investments and ROI analysis.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum
    5–7 years of accounting experience
    , with at least
    2 years in a managerial or Chief Accountant role
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    Philippine accounting standards (BIR), retail operations, and financial consolidation
    .
  • Proficiency in
    English
    (reporting to Vietnam HQ).
  • Strong analytical skills, high integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in
    Excel / ERP / Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Odoo)
    .
