The Chief of Ancillary Services is responsible for assisting the Medical Director in directing

the operation of the Ancillary Services Cluster to ensure service quality excellence.

Reviews and analyzes monthly performance reports of the Ancillary Services Cluster (Clinical

Laboratory, Radiology, Heart Station, Audiometry and Women's Center) and formulates

recommendations to improve performance and achieve service quality excellence.

  1. Assists in the development of annual plans for all Ancillary Services Cluster and ensures

synergy of plans/objectives, maximization of resources, and promotion of hospital-wide

service quality excellence.

  1. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to promote growth and fellowship of the

professional groups included in the Ancillary Services Cluster.

  1. Assists the Medical Director in implementing strategic programs and projects of the hospital

concerning the ancillary services of the hospital.

  1. Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews;

prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-

service standards; and resolve problems in the Ancillary Services Cluster.

  1. Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space

requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes in the Ancillary Services Cluster.

  1. Ensures that the professional services groups included in the Ancillary Services Cluster

comply with the policies, rules and regulations of the Hospital.

  1. Strengthens professional competence through participation in continuing educational

programs.

  1. Hold weekly meetings for the Heads of the Ancillary Services Cluster.

  2. Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job

contributions.

  1. Participates actively in internal and external meetings.

  2. Prepares and submits required reports.
