They are now looking for a Distribution Coordinator to join our growing remote team.
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting directly to an Australia-based manager, as the Distribution Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for the day-to-day movement and coordination of products, ensuring seamless delivery from the supplier to the customer's door. Your responsibilities include:
- Orchestrate Shipments: Maintain delivery schedules and lead times from order release through to final delivery, ensuring excellence and exceeding customer expectations.
- Optimize Logistics: Coordinate closely with 3PLs (Third-Party Logistics) and freight forwarders to secure optimal delivery outcomes and costs for the business.
- Manage Inventory: Action and monitor all stock movements, including approved return shipments and internal transfers, to maintain stock integrity alongside 3PLs and the Inventory Controller.
- Drive Process Improvement: Proactively document and resolve operational or system issues that impact delivery timelines, continually assessing and improving processes.
- Ensure Compliance: Create and approve necessary commercial documents for both domestic and international shipments.
- Report Performance: Generate detailed shipment, exception level, warehouse, and inventory reports for key internal and external stakeholders.
- A great foundational understanding of basic warehouse operations processes.
- Advanced knowledge of customs documentation for export shipments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant inventory or supply chain software/systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with global partners.
- A proactive, energetic, and self-starting approach to work, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with AP21 or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience contributing to process improvements by suggesting solutions to documented operational issues.
