Full Stack Ruby on Rails (RoR) with Frontend Experience

Location: PH – Fully Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Ruby on Rails Developer with strong frontend experience. The ideal candidate will support backend development using Ruby on Rails while contributing significantly to the frontend using Ember, React, Vanilla JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, and NodeJS. Because this platform is community- and engagement-driven, experience working on social media or large-scale user-facing platforms is preferred.

Key Responsibilities


• Develop and maintain backend features using Ruby on Rails.


• Build, refine, and optimize frontend components using React, EmberJS, Vanilla JavaScript, TailwindCSS, and NodeJS.


• Integrate frontend features with Rails-based APIs and backend systems.


• Translate UI/UX wireframes into clean, reusable, responsive components.


• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and optimized performance.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, documentation, and testing.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications


• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development.


• Strong proficiency in React, EmberJS, Vanilla JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, and NodeJS.


• Basic understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).


• Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs.


• Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and Agile/Scrum.


• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote team.

Preferred Experience


• Experience working on social media platforms, online communities, or other large-scale user engagement platforms.


• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.


• Experience in CI/CD or automated testing pipelines.


• Previous work on SaaS or high-traffic web applications.
