JOB SUMMARY

The Public Relations Associate for Editorial Services is in-charge of assisting in implementing editorial projects for corporate communications and public relations. They are also responsible in handling specific editorial assignments as assigned by the Public Relations Manager for Editorial. They assist in directing publicity programs and campaigns and provides support for the various public relations activities while ensuring a positive image for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare material for publications such as newspapers, books, magazines, or other publications
  • Review story angles and ideas proposed by staff and PR
  • Check copy for style and readability
  • Fact check articles
  • Carry out research and confirm sources for writers
  • Monitor major publications for news relevant to the company
  • Provide a line-up of stories for weekly media dispatch
  • Develop relevant story angles
  • Monitor artistic direction and design layout
  • Attend story conferences and contribute ideas
  • Re-echo relevant training and workshop modules to entire team
  • Conceptualize streamlined processes for the editorial team
  • Document special events and functions as assigned for editorial purposes
  • Collaborate with New Media
  • Maintain a database of editorial materials for future reference
  • Assist in Media Relations duties

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Management, Communication Arts, Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or other similar courses
  • Preferably with relevant work experience
  • Has advanced understanding of various online content platforms (e.g. Youtube (Vlogging), Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.)
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak in Mandarin is an advantage
  • Has good analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to deliver results
  • Organized and has a great attention to details
  • Able to build working relationship and deal with different types of individuals
  • Adaptable and can handle stressful and high-pressure situations
  • Proficient in computer applications (Google Workspace)
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • If fresh graduate, being a member of school publication is an advantage
