As a Finance and Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting operations of the parent entity and its subsidiaries. This includes financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, internal controls, and intercompany transactions. Your CPA qualification ensures adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the holding company and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and relevant statutory reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance and variances.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Support business units in preparing their financial plans and monitor budget utilization.
  • Provide insights and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

3. General Accounting

  • Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
  • Maintain an accurate chart of accounts and accounting policies.

4. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.).
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations and accounting standards.

5. Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct internal audits or assist external auditors during the audit process.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

6. Intercompany Transactions

  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and transfer pricing compliance.

7. Treasury & Cash Management

  • Monitor cash flows, banking relationships, and liquidity positions.
  • Recommend investments or financing strategies when necessary.

8. Support to Management

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Participate in strategic planning, feasibility studies, and investment analysis.
  • Prepare financial presentations for board meetings and investors.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    – Mandatory.

Experience

  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
  • Background in audit (e.g., from a Big 4 firm) is an advantage.
