Summary

As a Functional Tester under the Application Developer role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and configuring applications to meet specific business processes and requirements, with a strong focus on functional test planning and execution. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring applications meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance. You will also contribute to problem-solving discussions, bringing innovative solutions to improve application functionality and user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform independently and develop into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications or modules.
  • Actively participate and contribute in team meetings and discussions.
  • Provide solutions and recommendations for work-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical and testing specifications.
  • Develop and execute functional test plans to ensure applications meet defined requirements and quality benchmarks.
  • Identify, log, and troubleshoot defects during the application development lifecycle.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and application processes while keeping all records updated.
  • Provide training and support to end-users for effective application adoption.
Professional & Technical Skills
  • Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Functional Test Planning.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience using test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent).
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex requirements and translate them into test cases.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and application optimization techniques.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Functional Test Planning.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
