Key Responsibilities

• Capture and direct the requirements gathering, understand the business problem and how reporting analytics can solve the problem, and work with a larger analytics team to build the non-reporting components that suit the desired reporting outcomes
• Perform data profiling and analysis and create ad-hoc data models, reports, and analyses as needed to support business requirements
• Analyse trends of tools used by the Reporting Team e.g., refresh errors, capacity consumption of reports
• Exercise sound judgment while analysing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for business leaders
• Prepare business documents and presentations for the Business Intelligence Lead and other management staff
• Use data-gathering and modelling strategies to provide an overview of new processes and enhanced procedures for business-wide reporting with minimal supervision
• Prepare performance reports of team members
• Develop, test and deploy solutions to multiple environments; and maintain technical documentation for these solutions
• Ensure the Power BI reports meet the customer's needs
• Highly skilled in using DAX and data modelling in Power BI
• Implement Power BI row-level security to ensure data confidentiality
• Understand and improve the business concepts behind data models used in reporting
• Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with data solutions
• Review and analyse systems to ensure adequate performance and maintenance, ensuring that data pipelines and data stores are efficient, organised and reliable
• Work across business lines, conferring with the Business Intelligence team and
• Department POCs/Leads/Managers/Executives to gather requirements and specifications while developing enhanced data models with minimal supervision
• Work directly with other seniors, team leaders, and managers to gain a better sense of the current shortcomings in business reports and utilise tools to devise solutions to enhance reports and scalability with minimal supervision
• Assist with the establishment and ongoing maintenance of knowledge management, education and awareness, continuous improvement, and risk management within the business
• Help ensure a high level of security, accuracy, and efficiency by conducting routine audits of source connections, reports visuals, and reporting tables, then analysing the results before devising new solutions or finding ways to enhance overall reporting performance with minimal supervision
• Maintain reports with high attention to detail using standard business processes with minimal supervision
• Responsible for ongoing support of Power BI reports, as well as troubleshooting issues
• Contribute to participative arrangements for the management of occupational health and safety

• Bachelor's Degree in any computer-related courses, Information Management, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years experience in Power BI development and deployment
• 3-5 years experience in developing reports for various departments and industries
• 2-3 years experience in creating scalable and secure data models within a reporting tool
• 2-3 years experience in gathering requirements from stakeholders
• 2-3 years experience in documenting workflows and processes
• 1-2 years experience in using external tools to enhance report performance and deployment procedure
• Adept at Power BI with a Pro License
• Adept at Advanced DAX
• Adept Data Modeling in Power BI
• A wizard with Excel
• Adept at Intermediate SQL
• Adept at connecting to various data sources, e.g., SQL, API, SharePoint files
• Adept at documentation tools for flow charts and presentations on requirements gathering and solution design
• Any of Power BI external tools to enhance the performance of reports or assist in deploying reports to production
• A high level of understanding and use of RLS (Row Level Security)
• Adept at performance tuning of reports
