IV. JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner in the digital transformation of insurance operations, bridging business needs with technology solutions. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience, streamlining underwriting and claims processes, and supporting regulatory compliance through innovative digital platforms.

V. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with other teams to identify digital opportunities.
  • Document business processes and gather functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Analyze gaps in legacy systems and propose modern digital solutions.

B. Digital Solution Design

  • Work with third-party vendors and developers to design customer-centric platforms.
  • Review and evaluate solutions provided by vendors and developers prior to coordinating with business users for implementation.

C. Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support teams in delivering digital initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between business units, IT, vendors, and external partners.

D. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

  • Ensure digital solutions comply with insurance regulations (e.g., AML, data privacy, IC circulars).
  • Support audit and risk teams with digital reporting and traceability features.

E. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze customer behavior, claims trends, and operational data to support decision-making.
  • Use BI tools to generate dashboards for performance tracking and forecasting.

IV. SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT

  • A. Educational Attainment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

B. Work Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT management or a similar role, with work experience in business analysis, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Experience with digital platforms, CRM systems, and core insurance systems.
  • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with IT security, compliance, and IC regulatory standards.

C. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks in the Philippines (e.g., Insurance Commission guidelines).
  • Experience in automation (RPA), cloud-based solutions, and API integrations.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile methodologies is a plus.

VII. INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

  • Works closely with other departments to ensure smooth data flow and system integrity, supporting business objectives. Collaborates with business units to understand their needs and tailor digital solutions that support business processes. Communicates effectively with department heads and other key stakeholders to ensure IT solutions are aligned with organizational goals.

VIII. WORKING CONDITIONS

  • May be exposed to slight to extreme physical demands and stressful conditions depending on the tasks being performed.

  • Since the position has inter-departmental relationships, incumbent must be tactful and be able to work harmoniously and cooperatively with all levels of the organization.
