Job Title: Collection Specialist

Job Summary:

The Collection Specialist is responsible for contacting customers to collect payments, resolve outstanding debts, and maintain accurate records of all collection activities. This role ensures timely account settlements while providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

*Contact customers via phone, email, or written correspondence regarding overdue accounts.

*Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, or repayment plans.

*Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up promptly.

*Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and payment status.

*Escalate unresolved accounts to the supervisor or legal team when necessary.

*Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and data privacy laws.

*Provide regular reports on collection activities, account status, and recovery rates.

*Build and maintain professional relationships with clients to encourage timely payments.

*Assist in improving collection strategies and processes.

Qualifications:

*High school diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (preferred).

*Proven experience as a Collection Specialist, Credit Officer, or similar role.

*Strong negotiation and communication skills.

*Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.

*Basic knowledge of billing procedures and debt collection regulations.

*Proficiency in MS Office and CRM or collection software.

*Detail-oriented, goal-driven, and highly organized.
