About the role

YDBread Co. is seeking experienced Bakers and Assistant Bakers to join our team in our Pasig and Makati branches. As a Baker or Assistant Baker, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality artisanal breads and pastries to delight our customers. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development within our expanding organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and mixing bread and pastry doughs according to established recipes and methods
  • Operating commercial baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers to bake breads and pastries
  • Monitoring the proofing and baking process to ensure consistent quality and appearance of products
  • Finishing baked goods according to company standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workstation to adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborating with the team to identify process improvements and introduce new product ideas
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Baker or Assistant Baker in a commercial bakery or similar food production environment
  • Formal training or a certificate in baking and pastry arts is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and food safety practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to decorate baked goods with creativity
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • A passion for creating high-quality, delicious baked goods
