Job Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to emergencies. The role requires vigilance, integrity, and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveillance and Monitoring
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, theft, or vandalism.
  • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment.
  • Report suspicious activities or safety hazards promptly.
  • Access Control
  • Verify the identity of personnel, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue passes as needed.
  • Enforce company policies regarding restricted areas.
  • Emergency Response
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or security breaches.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, fire department, or medical personnel when necessary.
  • Follow established emergency protocols and assist in evacuation procedures.
  • Incident Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Document daily activities, irregularities, and maintenance issues.
  • Provide reports to supervisors or management as required.
  • Customer Service and Communication
  • Assist employees and visitors with inquiries or directions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and management.
  • Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Participate in safety audits, drills, and training programs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or security breaches.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Valid security guard license (if applicable).
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment and security procedures.

  • Strong observational and decision-making skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to patrol large areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • May require night, weekend, or holiday shifts.
  • Long periods of standing or patrolling.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and potential hazards.
