Overview:
The Sales Associate – Bids is responsible for identifying bidding opportunities, engaging potential clients, and supporting the sales pipeline for bid submissions. This role focuses on lead generation, initial client communication, gathering bid requirements, and coordinating with the Bid/Sales Specialist and internal teams.
Lead Generation & Client Sourcing
- Search and identify new bidding opportunities across online platforms and client portals.
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, and messages to gather project details and validate bidding requirements.
- Maintain contact with potential and existing clients for upcoming bid schedules.
- Clarify client requirements and communicate essential details to the Bid/Sales Specialist.
- Assist in gathering commercial, technical, or logistical data needed for bid preparation.
- Help in preparing simple quotations or preliminary sales documents when needed.
- Update lead lists, bidding trackers, and CRM records with accurate information.
- Maintain documentation of all client touchpoints and bidding activities.
- Track submitted bids and follow up for updates or feedback.
- Prepare weekly reports on leads, opportunities, and follow-ups.
- Provide insights on common project requirements, lead quality, and potential sales angles.

- Time management and coordination
- 1–2 years experience in inside sales, lead generation, or customer coordination (bidding experience is a plus).
- Strong oral communication and professional client handling.
- Proficient in MS Office; CRM experience is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and manage several opportunities simultaneously.
