Overview:

The Associate Vice President – Human Resources (General HR) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire HR function across the organization. This includes talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, learning & development, HR operations, and organizational development. The AVP-HR will act as a trusted advisor to the executive team and ensure that HR strategies are aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team to provide input on business strategy and human capital implications.

  • Talent Management:

  • Oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and development programs.

  • Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems and frameworks to drive high performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and growth.

  • Compensation & Benefits:

  • Design and manage competitive compensation structures and benefit programs.
  • Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in reward systems.

  • Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation in line with legal and organizational standards.

  • Organizational Development:

  • Lead change management initiatives, organizational design, and culture transformation projects.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.

HR Operations & Technology:

  • Oversee HR systems (HRIS), data analytics, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Ensure efficient HR service delivery and employee support.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 20+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HR systems and digital tools (e.g., SAP, Workday, Oracle HCM).
