This role develops on the systems within our Investment Administration New Zealand business, which provides fund administration, wealth administration, unit pricing, and custody services to investment managers who collectively have over $140 billion of assets. The role involves providing input and implementing software solutions through the utilization of their experience and the assistance of their squad members.

Job Responsibilities:

The roles, duties, and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software systems, including:
  • Writing software to solve business problems.
  • Maintain software development standards.
  • Contributing to refinement sessions to promote the best possible solutions.
  • Ensuring data integrity and security within the system
  • Promoting best practice software development standards
  • Delivering Quality - maintaining quality by contributing to the testing framework, always striving to leave the code base better.
  • Ability to perform code reviews.
  • Ability to provide technical mentorship to the other team members.
  • Great relationship management and service delivery mindset
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of frameworks, software development methodologies, and approaches
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in modern software engineering practices, including:

  • .NET Ecosystem (Framework and Core), ASP.NET MVC 5
  • C#, Entity Framework, SQL
  • Experience with XUnit or NUnit
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze and fix technical issues.
  • Familiar with iterative development practices like Scrum or Kanban.
  • Azure DevOps, Git
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design patterns
