About the role
As a Safety Officer 2, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. This full-time position is based in Lipa City Batangas and will involve overseeing all aspects of occupational health and safety within the organization.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Developing, implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices
- Providing comprehensive safety training and education to all employees
- Investigating and documenting incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborating with management to continuously improve the company's safety culture and performance
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports on the company's safety performance
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar occupational health and safety role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry
- Thorough understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address safety-related issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvement in safety performance
