This role involves overseeing soil testing programs, ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory results, coordinating research and development activities, and supporting sustainable agricultural and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Soil Science.
  • Strong knowledge of soil testing procedures, land evaluation, and data interpretation.
  • Experience with laboratory quality control systems and documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); GIS and statistical software is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams in both laboratory and field settings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise soil sampling, classification, and laboratory analysis for physical, chemical, and biological properties.
  2. Lead a team of soil technicians, analysts, and field personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
  3. Review and validate laboratory results and technical reports before submission.
  4. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality and consistency.
  5. Plan and coordinate field surveys, research trials, and data collection activities.
  6. Provide technical guidance and training to staff on soil analysis methods and equipment.
