Job Summary:

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, products, and processes meet the required quality standards and comply with applicable codes, specifications, and project requirements. The role includes the development and implementation of quality management plans, inspection and testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect materials, equipment, processes, and work activities to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare inspection test plans (ITPs), checklists, method statements, and QC reports.
  • Supervise site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure work is executed as per approved procedures.
  • Testing and Documentation:
  • Perform or coordinate non-destructive testing (NDT), material testing, and other QA/QC inspections.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inspection records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and quality logs.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly quality reports to the management or client.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support training and awareness programs on quality standards and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to quality systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • Certification in QA/QC or relevant quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE) is preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, ASME, API, etc.) depending on the sector
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in a QA/QC role, preferably in [industry: e.g., construction, manufacturing, oil & gas]
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time
