Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly dedicated and competent Safety Officer (SO2) to ensure that all workplace safety standards are properly implemented and maintained. The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with government regulations, particularly under DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Prepare and maintain safety-related documents such as incident reports, safety logs, and inspection records.
  • Facilitate safety trainings, orientations, and toolbox meetings.
  • Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe conditions and recommend preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with DOLE and other regulatory bodies regarding safety compliance.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce company safety rules.
  • Participate in risk assessments and job hazard analyses.
  • Lead emergency response planning and conduct emergency drills.
  • Perform other safety-related tasks as may be required by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a certified Safety Officer 2 (SO2) with valid training certificate from an accredited OSH training provider.
  • At least 1–2 years experience in safety management (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE OSH Standards.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to lead in implementing safety policies.
