Job Summary

The Financial Reporting analyst will be responsible in assisting the financial reporting team, with focus on updating the accounting books, preparation and computation of supporting schedules, review and summarization of AR, AP, Treasury and Tax transactions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities


• Ensure completeness of journal entries and general ledger, through encoding and review of financial data


• Update supporting schedules and analysis of each balance sheet and profit and loss statement accounts


• Participate in the required analyses and computations of critical accounts e.g. depreciation, amortization, ROU (PFRS 16), deferred income taxes, loan related accounts.


• Collaborate with revenue and disbursement teams to ensure completeness of monthly financial data and entries (to include related taxes e.g. VAT and withholding tax)


• Prepare bank reconciliation report.


• Assist in the preparation of the daily cash flow monitoring report.


• Provide support in month-end and year-end closing processes to include fs preparation and audit requirements


• Recording of cash advances and employee reimbursements / liquidation


• Preparation for recurring tax returns


• Review of source documents for proper recording of historical and current transactions


• Perform other duties in support of top management initiatives e.g assurance and tax audit and automation projects.

Qualifications Education, Licenses and Certificates:


• Bachelor's degree in accounting

Relevant Experience:


• Proven experience in general bookkeeping, financial reporting and analysis,


• At least 2 -3 years' experience in relevant field Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


• Strong understanding financial reporting standards and practices.


• Proficiency in excel and power point applications.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Keen on data analysis.


• Team player and willing to collaborate.


• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


• Updated on recent financial reporting standards.
