As a Senior Engineer for ServiceNow Development, you will analyze business requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality technical implementations on the ServiceNow platform. You will work across the full systems development life cycle—including design, coding, testing, implementation, and support—while ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong analytical thinking, independent problem-solving, and the ability to make sound recommendations based on data and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze system and business requirements, identifying program interactions and designing appropriate integrations.
  • Develop new applications, modules, and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging existing code where appropriate.
  • Lead assigned projects by coordinating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Recommend new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to meet business needs and improve platform efficiency.
  • Configure hardware and software based on reporting formats, costs, and security requirements.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, documentation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support in solving complex programming and integration challenges.
  • Write and review system specifications, process flows, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and managing project plans using project management tools.
  • Review test results, document outcomes, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure thorough analysis to minimize rework and schedule delays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • ServiceNow IT Modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, GRC, SecOps, Vulnerability Response, Service Portal, SAM Pro, Integration Hub, and Performance Analytics.

Skilled in:

  • ServiceNow platform development using JavaScript.
  • Integrations (REST APIs, LDAP, Active Directory, JDBC, Orchestration, etc.).
  • Scoped Applications.
  • Flow Designer (preferred).
  • Integration Hub (preferred).
  • Service Portal (preferred).

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant ServiceNow development experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Technical or business-related certifications are an advantage.

Licenses & Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred).
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred).
